Sometimes we forget about the things we were once thankful for. Maybe those things have become burdensome. Maybe they've just been forgotten...a new car, a new house, a new job, a new basketball, some new shoes, a new wallet...a new friend. At some point, we desired them, but after time we have a tendancy to "move on" to bigger and better things. Life moves fast. Being thankful for something or someone shouldn't be a one time event but a daily reality expressed not only in words but in action.
Today would be a great day to express thanks to those relationships you've poured into and those that have poured into you. Let me begin this day of thanks by saying, "Thank you for reading my blog. You could be reading other things, but for some reason you take the time to read mine."

aaah, friend. I'm siiting here at Ktown Starbucks. It's about 8am and I just finished driving around about an hour having nostalgic moments of days gone by. that pic. i sent you the other day was of Jakes wrestling shirt. His football coach is also the wrestling coach and talked him into going out. said it would greatly help his tackling skills. so we had to tell him the stories of "Sir Jesse, king O the mat"... hey, remember that time you came to Indiana and wrestled all the giant kids from our youth group, and at the end you beat the crap out of that 250 pounder that thougth he could take you?... nothing was better than hearing that punk say in his whipped and humiliated sweaty body voice..."Sir Jesse, king of the mat". aaah yes, I am so thankful for all the people God has had my path cross. Especially that 13 year old kid i met long, long ago who wouldnt even look up at me to say hi, he was so shy. man am I thankful and proud of what you've become my friend....

G...those are great memories! Make sure to tell Jake there are no such things as "finish moves" in collegiate style wrestling, biting is not allowed, and he has to wear the same uniform the wrestling team gives him. He can't sew his own uniform...and definately NO MASK!
I'm also thankful for the mentoring I received from you and Karen. You reap what you so. My family thanks you. Have another cup of Starbucks on me and enjoy the crisp morning air.
